この階段は33段、完全に360度を2回転するらせん状になっています。木の釘は使われていますが、鉄の釘は一本も使われていません。そして驚くことに、螺旋階段を支えるはずの支柱がなく、まるで宙に浮いているようです。螺旋階段を作った男は賃金も受け取らず消えたそうです。支柱のない螺旋階段は、現在の科学を持ってしても建築工学上の謎であり奇跡なのです。
